Martina Biccheri was born in Rome, once finished high school she attends the Institute of Photography and Integrated Communication ISFCI in Rome where in 2012 she gets her BA degree. In a three-years period she specializes in both digital and analog photography, focusing on reportage, still life/advertising (monorail view camera) and portraiture. Her first real approach to photography was in the darkroom, undeniable place of photographic education. In those years thanks to darkroom´s high threshold margin of error, she mainly focuses her attention to composition and detail. A strong theoretical and practical base allows her to interact with the world of visual arts with the right attitude and a constant stimulus for what’s new constantly increases her interest in what nourishes her mind through her eyes. She takes part of worldwide art shows and collaborates with a music & fashion agency in LA. In 2012 she wins an inside uni contest and gets to shoot and direct the S/S 2012 campaign for Maggie Jeans (Abercrombie), later that year together with her workmates she wins the CYY Creative Young Chevrolet #1st italian prize, while in 2013 she wins a masterclass scholarship in Padova and she is awarded SONY world photographer 2013 in the Architecture category.
